The Gold Hill Hotel is a picturesque country inn located in Gold Hill, Nevada, one mile south of Virginia City in the Comstock Historic District. It is the oldest hotel in Nevada and offers guest facilities in the original 1861 stone structure, a 1987 addition, and several separate historic lodges. Each room features a private bath and is uniquely decorated in period style with antiques and reproductions. The Crown Point Restaurant offers fine dining, and the Gold Hill Saloon provides guests with a rustic environment to relax and unwind.

The Gold Hill Hotel is easily accessible from Dayton, Mound House, and Carson City via US 50 and State Routes 341 and 342, and from Reno via State Routes 341 and 342.

Established in 1861- The Gold Hill Hotel was originally built "The Reisen House"; it is the oldest hotel in the state of Nevada. It operated as the popular Vesey's Hotel through the Comstock boom years in the 1860's and 70's, hosting many Comstock social events and distinguished guests. Later operated as the Capitol Hotel in the 1890's for a time in the early 1900's it was a private residence.

New life was breathed into the structure in 1958 with new owners Fred and Dorothy Inmoor, who called it the "Gold Hill Bar and Hotel".

The business in its current incarnation was launched in 1986-87 when purchased by Bill and Carol Fain, who added the wood section (which houses the newer more spacious rooms, bookstore and restaurant).

When the Fains, were ready to retire, it became apparent the combination hotel, restaurant, and bar might have closed down after being on the market for 2 years. The current owner Comstock Mining, Inc. purchased the property in 2011 in part to fulfill their broader vision for the revitalization of the Comstock Lode community.
